#1 block the sink! Trust us, even if you think the drain is closed, put a bowl over it to be extra safe.

Warm water, some dish soap and brushing gently with a soft toothbrush (the
kid’s size works great) is all you need. After a clean water rinse, dry
immediately with a soft towel to avoid water spots.

Then, put your jewelry back on or in a safe place. Never leave it near the sink!

If your jewelry is clean, the next step to bring back the golden glow is a gold polishing cloth. Every jewelry lover needs one of these! These are just for gold jewelry so be careful not to rub your diamonds and other gemstones with it.

You can shower in gold jewelry! Real gold can get wet, and so can hard gemstones like diamonds and sapphires.

But, you do need to be mindful to not shower in gemstones like rubies, emeralds and never shower in pearls or opals. Soft and porous stones can have their color and strength compromised from being exposed to water.

You definitely don’t want to be reckless with scrubbing and hair washing as earring backs can fall off and chains can break over the drain! But if you are careful, there is no reason to avoid showering in sturdy, secure fine gold jewelry.

Absolutely! You can sleep in gold jewelry, but you want to be careful with delicate pieces as they may tangle, kink, dent, or in rare cases a thin chain can break. You can also repair most fine jewelry, but if you think it's delicate, it's best to take your jewelry off and put it in a safe place.

This is personal preference as far as in a drawer using divided organizers
or in a traditional jewelry box. Our best advice is to keep fine jewelry
separate from touching each other, clasp necklaces and bracelets to
avoid tangling, and put the earring backs on.

It’s never a bad idea to keep your jewelry in the box when you aren’t
wearing it–but if it’s Ouf! jewelry we know you’ll never put it in the
box because you’ll wear it every day–so a safe tray or little dish to
lay things out is a glam way to enjoy seeing your jewelry before you put it on in the morning.

Your Ouf! pouches are perfect for traveling with jewelry. There are a lot of cute jewelry travel bags, but it’s important to try to keep pieces separated to avoid damage. You can use tiny plastic bags or tissue paper to protect individual pieces and then store them securely in jewelry pouches, and then pack everything inside a bigger pouch or sleeve like a small, clean cosmetic bag or a ziplock to keep all your jewelry together.

Hand carry all the jewelry you aren't wearing in your purse. Please, don’t
even think about putting fine jewelry in your checked bag! Our opinion
is that fine jewelry doesn’t belong in a suitcase unless it is handcuffed to a security guard!
