Nail polish and jewelry: a fresh take for fall
Why didn’t anyone tell me about this style hack?
With fall around the corner, my search history has been overtaken by “nail trends for fall 2024”. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I L-O-V-E to have my nails decked out in nail art and gems. But, even if you love a classic manicure or natural nail look, there’s no question that a manicured hand is the perfect foundation to show off gorgeous rings and bracelet stacks.
As I’m thinking about ways to refresh the jewelry I wear every day and shift to fall fashion, I realized that a budget-friendly hack to change your jewelry vibe is to shake things up and change your nail polish for fall. Believe me, your pieces will look different if you switch from brights to moody dark colors, or if you try a natural shimmer instead of a sheer nude nail polish.
My nail obsession led me to a passion project: creating Ouf! nail polish. Every color and finish was inspired by jewelry and gems to give Ouf! babes color options to express themselves and enjoy their jewelry to the max! I can’t tell you how much fun I had naming the colors after I was sure each nail color was spot on. What screams FALL BEAUTY more than Chocolate Diamonds?!
Plus, I had to make sure our nail polish was animal cruelty-free, vegan, non-toxic, and made in the USA and we also created dreamy iridescent pouches for each bottle that can be reused for jewelry storage and travel. We deserve our little everyday luxuries to be the best quality, right?!
Ouf! Exclusive Nail Polish Collection or not, you can still benefit from mixing up your manicure. It’s kind of like putting a photo in a new frame–your jewelry will look fresh–and it may even give you a different point-of-view on how you mix and style your jewelry, and what you need to add to your jewelry collection next.
These are my top tips for fresh hands to frame your jewelry:
- Nothing says confidence like a classic red manicure and it really does go with everything
- Lean into rich tones with gem-like colors that are a step above the glossy black and wine colors that you see everywhere
- Try a racing stripe down the center of each nail or a colored french tip for an edgy updated natural manicure
- Switch to a super sheer pearly or shiny diamond-like sheer alone or over a color for a more delicate take on the iridescent glazed donut finish
- Take your favorite color and make it matte - like suede or velvet for your fingers
- Metallic nails are a huge trend for fall, and also surprisingly neutral in classic gold or silver polish - don’t be afraid to mix metals
- Even if nail polish isn’t your thing, neat nails nurtured with cuticle oil is a classy must
Don't underestimate the power of a fresh coat of nail polish to transform your jewelry game. Experiment with different shades and finishes to discover new ways to showcase your favorite pieces. Whether you're a nail art enthusiast or prefer a classic manicure, there's a nail polish trend for everyone this fall.
Let me know if you try any!
